DAISY Award

Ellis Medicine is proud to be a DAISY Award Hospital Partner, recognizing all that our nurses do each day to provide exceptional care to our patients.

The DAISY Award was created in 1999 to recognize the super-human work nurses do for patients and families every day.  As a form of meaningful recognition the DAISY Award has been able to impact healthcare organizations by contributing to a healthy work environment, improving nurse engagement, and improving the patient and family experience.  

The DAISY Award is a way for Ellis Medicine to honor nurses who provide above-and-beyond compassionate care to patients and their families.  We know how important it is to nurses when patients and families express their gratitude.  It not only helps nurse cope with high-stress work environments, but also to keep burnout at bay.  

The expression of gratitude that the DAISY Award gives will help nurses always remember the unforgettable impact their care has on patients and families, inspiring nurses to provide extraordinary care not only with their brains but also with their hearts.
