Ellis’ Maurya Datka featured in Gazette
Thursday, November 10, 2022
We wanted to call your attention to The Daily Gazette’s profile of a special someone who has been caring for the Ellis Medicine community for 20 years.
Maurya Datka is a clinical nurse practitioner who started as a patient care technician in the ER in 2002. Now, she is part of the team at Family Health Center on Ellis’ McClellan Street campus, caring for sick/walk in patients.
Her career with Ellis has instilled in Maurya an understanding of just how important it is that everyone have access to primary care. She truly represents Ellis’ mission of caring for the whole community, and we hope you will take a few minutes to get to know her. And when you get the part about the vaccine clinic, you should know 171 children got shots in the arm this year!
This profile is part of a new series in The Daily Gazette called “Getting to Know … ” that features local neighbors making a difference in the community. Maurya certainly is!
