Wills and Bequests
You can make a provision in your will to designate a portion of your estate, including such items as cash, stock, retirement plan, or other personal property, to go to The Foundation for Ellis Medicine.
A bequest to the Foundation is not subject to estate or inheritance taxes, and the value of the bequest is deductible in determining your taxable estate.
Please note: If you intend to leave a lasting legacy by supporting hospital healthcare in the greater Schenectady region, you can make a provision in your will to designate an outright amount or portion of your estate to go to The Foundation for Ellis Medicine
The Foundation for Ellis Medicine receives all charitable contributions for Ellis Medicine, including those provided at Ellis Hospital, McClellan Street Health Center, Bellevue Woman’s Center and the Medical Center of Clifton Park.
The Foundation for Ellis Medicine is the ONLY not-for- profit whose sole purpose is to support acute hospital care in Schenectady, and all gifts to support this care, whether outright or testamentary (including bequests, trusts, and other instruments of estate planning), must include this language.
Whether you are just thinking about your will or looking for opportunities to leave a legacy, we can help.
